Founded in 2018 by UK-trained nutritionist and dietitian Kanupriya Khanna, Karamele is a pioneering Indian brand that redefines healthy eating. Specialising in 100% millet-based, gluten-free, and plant-based foods, Karamele crafts a diverse range of products—from breads and cookies to cakes and laddoos—that are as nutritious as they are delicious. Each item is free from refined sugar, maida, eggs, preservatives, and artificial additives, ensuring clean and conscious indulgence.

A Personal Journey to Healthful Innovation

Kanupriya's inspiration for Karamele stemmed from personal experiences. Her mother's diagnosis with gluten and dairy intolerance, followed by her children's food allergies, led her to experiment with alternative flours and natural sweeteners. This journey of creating safe and tasty treats for her family laid the foundation for Karamele, aiming to offer wholesome options for those with dietary restrictions or seeking healthier lifestyles.

Expertise Rooted in Science

With over two decades of experience, Kanupriya holds a Master's in Dietetics from SNDT University, Mumbai, and a second Master's in Nutrition from King's College London. Her professional journey includes serving as the Chief Dietitian at Fortis La Femme in New Delhi. Her deep understanding of nutrition science ensures that every Karamele product is both healthful and flavorful.

    • The gujiyas were lovely & flavourful .... one couldn't makeout the difference that these are gluten-free or sugar free. Me and husband finished it in 1 day. Probably I ate gujhiyas after a long long time.
